He’s not called the Inventor

I don’t want to be a party pooper but the joke “That’s why God invented…” has something intrinsically wrong going on.

Edison invented some stuff. God created Edison. God is the stuff that Edison found out about.

That’s not to say Edison invented God.

Why am I on a looney rant about something that is clearly a joke? Because of the phrase “all the sudden.” Sure it started innocently enough, but it grew beyond my control. I will not make this mistake again.

That’s why God invented blogs, kid.

  3. BACON Says:

“All the sudden” is the work of heathens; the same people who say “It’s cold as hell outside”, “I could care less”, and “Supposably”. Please refrain, and remember: prepositions are the marque of any good civilization.

Supposably! That was the other one I was trying to remember! UGH! Now I have to remember to forget it! And I hate I could care less — it’s I COULDN’T! I COULDN’T!!!

Wow. I shouldn’t have had that piece of candy I guess.

  5. BACON Says:

Steve Carell mentioned “I could care less” while listing some of his annoyances on The Tonight Show last night. It was everything you’d expect it to be.

    He will be our spokesman.
